The Honorable Minister of Amerindian Affairs who is embroiled in a major scandal regarding claims in the national press of a successful project at Tobago-Hill which was later refuted by the Toshoa for that area and the accounts of the Toshoa was also verified by the independent press led by Stabroek News.

This come on the heels of Minister Robeson Benn being hostile towards Mr. Mark Benschop who is also the host of Straight Up Live. We must say that we find this kind of arrogant behavior towards the press regrettable but we must congratulate many other members of the PPP like Honorable Ministers, Robert Persaud, Priya Manickchand, Irfaan Ali, Anil Nandalall and several others who treat the press with much respect.

Maybe Benn and Sukhai worked too long under Dictator Jagdeo, thus, they’ve inherited some of his worst attributes. Benn’s thuggery required the intervention of Speaker Raphael Trotman who indicated his disappointment of this behavior in parliament.
