A student writes to President Jagdeo Dear President Jagdeo,
Could you please do something about David Rose School in West? Just take a look at our classroom, we have no proper desk, no proper windows and no where to play during break. The other day Mr. Mark Benschop visited and donated some books and other items to us. But, we need more than just that, we need a proper school. Mr. President, I am sure that you would not allow your relatives to attend there under those conditions. Please, look in to this for us. After all, we are the future and we deserve better.

Sincerely,

Student of David Rose

Mission Statement

The Mark Benschop Foundation was officially launched in March 2008 by its founder and chairman Mark Benschop and other concerned Guyanese and well wishers in the United States of America. What started as a small operation geared toward helping those in need has grown so large that they were forced to move their offices to a whole building in East Street where the vast amount of people responding to their generosity  could be accommodated.
