| Dem boys laugh till dem cry last night. A man dead in de Camp Street jail since two o’clock yesterday afternoon. De medic turn up at five o’clock and he come up wid a plan fuh mek de jail look good. He tell dem big ones that dem can dress up de man and mek it look like he dead when dem was taking him to hospital. Imagine dem big man agree. Dem dress up de prisoner in nice clothes. If you see how de man clothes bright. De man stiff but that didn’t stop dem. Dem boys seh that fuh mek de thing look real to de other prisoners, dem even handcuff de dead man. When dem done instead of calling de funeral parlour which woulda enter de jail compound through de back gate, dem carry de man through de front gate in de prison van. Dem boys seh that when dem meet de hospital and dem see some reporter, dem tek off de handcuff but de dead man suh stiff that he hand lef in de same position when it had on de handcuffs. Erskine did tell dem fuh mek de dead man walk to de A&E but when dem prison warder try fuh mek de man stand up he too stiff fuh move he foot. Is then dem get really embarrass because dem plan fail. Dem boys want to see wha gun happen now because de man dead in jail. Talk half. Lef half. |
