Dem Boys Seh … Buxton invade State House
Saturday, 07 August 2010
Is de same thing that Uncle Adam write ‘bout last week. Sam, de Prime Minister, tell a reporter that he rather talk ‘bout something else when de reporter ask he bout Fip and de hydro project road. De Big Market paper try fuh talk to Fip and de secretary tell she that he at a meeting. Wid all de cussing and de speculation, people woulda think that Fip woulda move on to clear de air. But it look like doctor stitch up he mouth. Up come Robeson and he tell dem boys that some barge wid equipment deh somewhere between The Bahamas and Grenada. It pass Jamaica? It pass Antigua? It ain’t got radio to communicate wid de people in Guyana? Dem boys know that one man waiting wid he equipment fuh subcontract but de real professionals got to deh pun de same barge because dem still to reach Guyana. And everybody clap when Bharrat invite de people from Buxton to State House. Nobody don’t know if Fine Man was alive if de village woulda get de invitation. But was a smart move. People pose wid he and dem boys seh that if he was running fuh a third term he woulda get some votes.
Talk half. Lef half.

Mission Statement

The Mark Benschop Foundation was officially launched in March 2008 by its founder and chairman Mark Benschop and other concerned Guyanese and well wishers in the United States of America. What started as a small operation geared toward helping those in need has grown so large that they were forced to move their offices to a whole building in East Street where the vast amount of people responding to their generosity  could be accommodated.
