Motto: Making the way forward for tomorrow’s children

Mission Statement
The Mark Benschop Foundation was officially launched in March 2008 by its founder and chairman Mark Benschop and other concerned Guyanese and well wishers in the United States of America. What started as a small operation geared toward helping those in need has grown so large that they were forced to move their offices to a whole building in East Street where the vast THE Mark BENSCHOP FOUNDATION amount of people responding to their generosity  could be accommodated. The main focus of the Foundation lies in not only assisting the lesser fortunate but the empowerment of these same people so that they may eventually be able to stand on their own feet. Emphasis is also placed on the development of sporting activities amongst the youth in disadvantaged communities to encourage them in a positive direction and open the doors to better opportunities.

The Foundation has numerous volunteers and employees who are all committed in their common goal of educating those who are unable to afford such in whatever area they might be interested in. Their teachers are trained in hairdressing, nail art, cake decorating, CXC Mathematics and English, First Aid, Spanish, and Information Technology just to name a few.

Operating at a high standard of excellence and compassion, the Foundation assists in the graduation of approximately 300 students on a monthly basis and has an open door policy where no one is ever turned away.
