Voting is very important in 2010 and 2011 for Guyana

Here is what to do….
1. Register to vote…..”you’ve got to be in it to win it”. 2. Pick-up your National ID card.
3. Encourage someone else on the importance of voting…….Family, your neighbors, friends and enemies, etc.
4. Help someone pick-up an ID by taking them to the designated GECOM office in their community.

5. Volunteer to pick-up someone and take them to vote on Election Day. If you are abroad, volunteer to pay for a mini-bus to take voters to their polling station (estimated cost: $60US).
6. Keep abreast of the issues that affect Georgetown (i.e. lack of proper council representation, an unhealthy city, an unsafe city, derelict buildings, poor management of the city’s finances, and many more).
7. Choose change; choose a fresh face; choose a different view; choose someone who has made sacrifices on behalf of Guyanese. How many Guyanese would pay the ultimate price of being jailed and still continue to serve his fellow Guyanese brothers and sisters; choose a capable, hands-on, educated and no-nonsense team….CHOOSE MARK; CHOOSE THE INDEPENDENT PARTY. Mission Statement

The Mark Benschop Foundation was officially launched in March 2008 by its founder and chairman Mark Benschop and other concerned Guyanese and well wishers in the United States of America. What started as a small operation geared toward helping those in need has grown so large that they were forced to move their offices to a whole building in East Street where the vast amount of people responding to their generosity could be accommodated.
