The United Muslim Party endorses Benschop for mayor

Recently, Mark Benschop got an endorsement from the Guyana Muslim Party. The party said, " Benschop is the best person to be the next mayor of Georgetown, we are of the view that Mr. Benschop has proven his honesty for a better Guyana, and he should be given the opportunity to prove himself at the local level...that's why our party is supporting him." So said party leader Mr. Nazir Muhammad. Mr. Benschop expressed his profound appreciation for the endorsement and said, "it's a sign of more to come, and that persons are aware that our newly formed party "The Independent Party" will be offering real change for the interest of the people.

Mission Statement

The Mark Benschop Foundation was officially launched in March 2008 by its founder and chairman Mark Benschop and other concerned Guyanese and well wishers in the United States of America. What started as a small operation geared toward helping those in need has grown so large that they were forced to move their offices to a whole building in East Street where the vast amount of people responding to their generosity could be accommodated.
