Dem Boys seh… Is not everybody congratulate Bharrat

De other day dem boys was at de Police Officers Conference when dem see Bharrat look like he vex when people call he Doctor Jagdeo. In de fuss place de programme fuh de occasion had Dr Bharrat Jagdeo and de police who introduce he, call he Dr Jagdeo. De man frown. But since then all dem paper carrying steady advertisements congratulating Dr Jagdeo. Is alright to congratulate de man because a foreign University recognise him. But then things get out of hand. Robeson did put off some people who was squatting pun a piece of government land. Is right deh somebody put up a sign that proclaim that all de people in Guyana congratulating Bharrat since he tun doctor. Well dem boys seh that de statement causing confusion.
Some people seh that dem did not even know that Bharrat tun doctor. De Waterfalls boss man seh that he didn’t congratulate Bharrat and he vex that somebody claim that he join in de congratulations. He seh that he ask other people and none of he staff aint congratulate de man but he couldn’t be sure because some of dem does do things behind he back.
Now dem boys want to know if de government did put out a tender fuh de big signboard. Dem also want to know how much it cost and most of all dem want to know who walk round de country getting people fuh offer congratulations.
De last time a sign go up and cause confusion Bharrat de blame Kwame. This time when Lincoln Lewis and Benschop and Whitter and de Waterfalls boss man and Corbin and Trotman and Ramjattan and Sheila Holder and all dem other people assemble outside Office of de President to protest de inclusion of all of dem in de billboard is another story.

Mission Statement

The Mark Benschop Foundation was officially launched in March 2008 by its founder and chairman Mark Benschop and other concerned Guyanese and well wishers in the United States of America. What started as a small operation geared toward helping those in need has grown so large that they were forced to move their offices to a whole building in East Street where the vast amount of people responding to their generosity could be accommodated.
