Kitty Market has long been an eyesore and a threat to life and limbs of those who ply their trade as well as passersby to the point that it was deemed derelict by many. Yet it remains untouched. But if all goes well it may soon take on a different angle. He said the condition is that they will maintain the architectural façade and not displace the original vendors from plying their trade. He said too that if the proposal is good, “we are willing to give up the facility to any developer for individual or preferably a joint venture.” The Mayor dubbed the current state of the market as unsatisfactory but said that his municipality does not have the resources to maintain it. “We don’t have the broad base revenue since 1994,” he reiterated. |
