Dem boys seh….Its Valentine Day
Sunday, 14 February 2010

Was fire like mad yesterday. One fire burn a house in Linden, one in Albouystown and one tackle de place wheh homeless children does live. Well dem boys seh that de last fire was de worst. Dem seh that if fire gun tackle de homeless dem can imagine wha it does do to people wid homes. Imagine all dem fire start strange. One lady deh at wuk and she house bun. Dem boys hear that one of dem was cooking wid kerosene. How de stove fall down and spread suh quick is a mystery. But is when dem boys sit back and think dem realise wha happen. Today is Valentine’s Day and red is de favourite colour of de occasion. And fire red. Well de best thing to do in de future is to give you loved one some fire. She might love you to death. She might also want to give you fire like de woman who waiting fuh sentence in Berbice.

Dem boys seh that she give she husband a hot bath while he sleeping and she did not use water. De problem was that it was not Valentine’s Day or even Valentine’s Night. That is why she get convicted. She couldn’t claim was undying love.

Last night, some of dem boys had a good pre Valentine’s session. Dem drink red rum. Some of dem see red because dem fall down. Some get hit real hard by de spouse and when dem wake up this morning and complain of pain, all de spouse tell dem was that dem was too drunk to realise how hard dem fall.

Dem boys learn that women does play real serious and today nuff gun sit and smile at whatever gift dem get, knowing that dem had to beat de daylights out of dem husband when he drunk.

Talk half. Lef half.

Mission Statement

The Mark Benschop Foundation was officially launched in March 2008 by its founder and chairman Mark Benschop and other concerned Guyanese and well wishers in the United States of America. What started as a small operation geared toward helping those in need has grown so large that they were forced to move their offices to a whole building in East Street where the vast amount of people responding to their generosity  could be accommodated.
