Dem Boys seh… A big man cry fuh go to jail
Saturday, 06 February 2010
Dr Jenny is not a miner although she live at Bartica. When dem boys claim that she was a miner dem had people who pounce pun she. Is then dem boys know how powerful dem voice is. De same thing mek a man complain till dem boys get cuss and de cussing was really serious because de man get he friend fuh complain fuh he. But de biggest thing is how dem miners fuhget dem political party fuh challenge de government. One political party holler how it had people inside. Dem boys seh that everybody had people inside but all of dem who been inside was on dem own.
Is gold dem boys talking bout and gold fetching a price—a real good price. De same miners does help dem political parties and dem boys bet that de government gun back down because is good sauce gun disappear from de party. De miners who does give Freedom House a good raise gun hold back that raise. When that happen nuff people ain’t gun get pay and is trouble inside de party.
Is then all dem who collect from de treasury fuh doing nutten gun have to pay back and dem boys know that certain people don’t like part wid money.
And one of dem boys cry de other day. He get jail and although he been in de jail that time was temporary. De real thing drive home what jail is.
Is a place wheh sane people does end up wid mad people. And that is a recipe fuh disaster. Camp Street was a great example.
Talk half. Lef half.

Mission Statement

The Mark Benschop Foundation was officially launched in March 2008 by its founder and chairman Mark Benschop and other concerned Guyanese and well wishers in the United States of America. What started as a small operation geared toward helping those in need has grown so large that they were forced to move their offices to a whole building in East Street where the vast amount of people responding to their generosity  could be accommodated.
