Black owned hotel refused Benschop entry

The owner of a popular hotel in Bartica has refused to allow Mark Benschop to stay at his hotel because he's "afraid that the Jagdeo" government will close him down. He told Benschop that, "this is not personal, but I have to protect my business from these people, and whoever is in government I have to support them..." Benschop however did not buy his crap and has since called for a boycott of the hotel.

Mission Statement

The Mark Benschop Foundation was officially launched in March 2008 by its founder and chairman Mark Benschop and other concerned Guyanese and well wishers in the United States of America. What started as a small operation geared toward helping those in need has grown so large that they were forced to move their offices to a whole building in East Street where the vast amount of people responding to their generosity could be accommodated.
