Former GDF Major donates to the Benschop Foundation

Mr. Aubrey Reteymyer, former Major of the Guyana Defense Force yesterday made a monetary donation to the Mark Benschop Foundation. The recipients were four high school students who volunteered their services at the Foundation. Head of the Foundation, Mr. Mark Benschop expressed his gratitude to Mr. Reteymyer for his timely contribution. Benschop noted that Mr. Reteymyer has always been there to assist the foundation with books and other items.

Mission Statement

The Mark Benschop Foundation was officially launched in March 2008 by its founder and chairman Mark Benschop and other concerned Guyanese and well wishers in the United States of America. What started as a small operation geared toward helping those in need has grown so large that they were forced to move their offices to a whole building in East Street where the vast amount of people responding to their generosity could be accommodated.
