Trade Unionists, Norris Witter and Lincoln Lewis, along with Social Activist, Mark Benschop continued their protest on Friday last. The trio spent a considerable length of time in front of the Ministry of Home Affairs, daring the police to arrest them. Part of their bail agreement was to report to the Brickdam Police Station, the two veteran Trade Unionists kept their appointment. However, Benschop said in a statement to the press that he has no intention of "reporting to any police since we have done nothing wrong, the charges are illegal and politically motivated. Apart from that, massa days are long gone. Let that puppet Henry Greene send his men to arrest me, that's all. I will not comply with the police when their conduct is illegal." |
