Mr. Benschop was released on $10,000 bail after several interventions were made by various leaders around the country. Civilians and residents in the area were in total disagreement of the injustice to Mr. Benschop by the police. According to Mr. Benschop, he believed it was an attempt on his life. |
Mark Benschop is currently under arrest at the Timehri police station for failing to pull aside into a trench for a police motor cycle to past. The matter is awaiting instructions from the commissioner of police.
