Graduation - Over fifty ladies graduated from the Benschop Foundation free nail course

Over fifty young ladies on Sunday last graduated as Nail Technicians from the Mark Benschop Foundation. The course was offered for free in collaboration with Double CC Salon and School of Cosmetology and conducted by Ms Charmaine Thomas. Ms. Thomas said that she "wanted to give something back to society and thought that the best place to start was at the Benschop Foundation".

Benschop celebrates Phagwah in Lusignan

Mark Benschop and son (Ryan) visited the village of Lusignan on the East Coast of Demerara and played Phagwah with close friends. In photo, Mr. Benschop , Ryan Benschop and "Auntie" she's 89 years old, the oldest woman in the village. Comments (11)

Mission Statement

The Mark Benschop Foundation was officially launched in March 2008 by its founder and chairman Mark Benschop and other concerned Guyanese and well wishers in the United States of America. What started as a small operation geared toward helping those in need has grown so large that they were forced to move their offices to a whole building in East Street where the vast amount of people responding to their generosity could be accommodated.
