Yesterday, the Mark Benschop Foundation donated a quantity of books and school supplies to the David Rose Special School. Head of the Foundation, Mr. Mark Benschop presented the items to the student and teachers. “Angel’s Beauty Salon and Nail Creations” located on Merriman Mall opposite ‘Bonny’s Supermarket’ is certainly another result of the hard work some women have put into accomplishing their dreams. The Founder of the Mark Benschop Foundation noted that he is happy that the women, who have graduated from the various cosmetological programmes and hair courses sponsored by the Foundation, are a true product of what having a goal is and what working hard at it can bring.

Mission Statement

The Mark Benschop Foundation was officially launched in March 2008 by its founder and chairman Mark Benschop and other concerned Guyanese and well wishers in the United States of America. What started as a small operation geared toward helping those in need has grown so large that they were forced to move their offices to a whole building in East Street where the vast amount of people responding to their generosity could be accommodated.
